Comments and References:

Are Tritrichomonas suis and Tritrichomonas foetus synonyms?
There is an on-going disagreement on whether Tritrichomonas muris and Tritrichomonas foetus are synonyms. You find below three references on the issue, two in favour of the synonymy, one against. The GenBank taxonomy currently lists Tritrichomonas suis and Tritrichomonas foetus as independent species.
Tritrichomonas suis and T. foetus are synonyms ref. 1
Tritrichomonas suis and T. foetus are synonyms ref. 2
Tritrichomonas suis and T. foetus are not synonyms ref. 1
