Comment

Samples provided by Dr. Leonid Moroz, The Whitney Lab for Marine Bioscience, University of Florida. The animal that was the source of the DNA is from the F4 generation, inbred from animals isolated on the California coast. This assembly ... represents a hybrid assembly. The original Sanger-ARACHNE draft assembly (AASC00000000.2) was used to extend and fill gaps in an unreleased deep coverage Illumina-ALLPATHS-LG assembly. The assembly was created using a series of custom bioinformatic techniques and tools developed by the Broad specifically for this project. more
