The Toxoplasma gondii GT1 strain has been sequenced for comparative genome analysis by The Institute for Genomic Research in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania. The whole genome shotgun sequence project has the accession number AAQM00000000. The latest version of this project (02) has the accession number AAQM02000000 and consists of contig sequences AAQM02000000-AAQM02003590. An update containing scaffolds (EQ967475-EQ970679) with some annotation was recently released.
This WGS project was originally submitted incorrectly as Toxoplasma gondii strain RH. It was determined to be strain GT1, and the organism name was corrected to Toxoplasma gondii strain GT1 in February 2008. Less...
