More...The goal of the present project was to evaluate the diversity and distribution of the genus Vibrio in coastal lagoons from the northern coast of Yucatan Peninsula, where most of octopus is caught. In previous studies we have detected the presence of vibrio in processed octopus so we think this contamination could be originated in coastal lagoons close to the fishing areas, where several members of the genus Vibrio normally dwell.
