Genome Information for Sphingobium
We have isolated Sphingobium sp. KK22 from a phenanthrene enrichment culture of a bacterial consortium from cattle pasture soil, USA, which grows on the heavy fraction of diesel fuel and was shown to metabolize PAHs, To acquire some biochemical findings, we attempt to perform whole genome sequencing of Sphingobium sp. KK22, and compare the sequences to those of related species.
