Xenorhabdus griffinae is a gram-negative bacteria of the genus Xenorhabdus and have a mutulistic association with Steinernema species and pathogenic association with insects. The bacteria colonizes the gut of the vector and is released into the haemolymph of the host upon entry. The bacteria releases toxins that are lethal to the insect and result in larval martality post infection.
