Genome Information for Cercospora beticola
Genome sequencing project of Cercospora beticola, causal agent of Cercospora leaf spot disease on sugar beet plants.
More...Genome sequencing project of Cercospora beticola, causal agent of Cercospora leaf spot disease on sugar beet plants. The genome of C. beticola was sequences by Illumina, incorporating a short insert library and two mate pair libraries. For scaffolding, two optical maps were generated on OpGen and BioNano Genomics platform. The resulting assembly consists of 248 scaffolds, of which the largest 12 comprise ~97% of the sequence data. A total of 12,281 genes are predicted, encompassing 12,495 transcripts. About 10,000 genes have been manually verified/curated in WebApollo. Functional annotation was performed in BLAST2GO, incorporating local BLAST analyses to the NCBI non-redundant database and by InterProScan protein domain annotation.
