In this study, we provide a nuclear genome-scale perspective of the phylogeny of Neotropical squirrels (Sciurillinae and Sciurinae: Sciurini) and investigate the placement of these subfamilies within Sciuridae, a globally distributed and ecologically important family of rodents using UCE loci.
