Through metagenomic sequencing of 1,412 fresh fecal samples of six high-altitude herbivorous mammals belonging to the two sister orders Perissodactyla and Artiodactyla freely living on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau., the gut microbial genome catalog of mammals animals in high altitude was constructed.
