In our study, the viromes were obtained with a targeted molecular approach and next-generation sequencing. The virome of M. fimbriatus revealed the presence, prevalence, and abundance of emerging virus families. We also assembled the genome of an alphacoronavirus that was the most abundant and prevalent virus in the individuals
