To understand how symbiosis is maintained during the development of Sitophilus oryzae and to pinpoint genes whose expression were also endosymbiont-dependent during the bacterial dynamics in adults we performed transcriptomic analysis in symbiotic and artificially obtained aposymbiotic animals at five adult time points.
