To evaluate the analytical sensitivity between HTS and RT-PCR, the same Total RNA extractions from eight sample pools with five tested banana viruses were used. . Compared with currently available database, large number of tested banana virus genomes and one formerly unknown member which belonging to family Closteroviridae was also generated in this study. Moreover, a new algorithm calls Cont-ID, which uses alien control to identify cross-sample contamination, was first time reported.
