Estimation of variablility in the gut microbiota resitome of the Russian citizens aimed at identification of pathways for transmission and spread of antibiotic resistance.

The resistance can accumulate in the microbiome after antibiotic treatment against infectious agents, and it can be passed to pathogenic bacteria during further infections, even though absence of the target infection is checked after each therapy.

Results of the project will widen the comprehension of the mechanisms of AR transfer from microbiota to infectious agents, and based on the modelling system will allow to make the system cotrolling the ARspread more accurate, Additionally it will allow to elobarate new schemes of antibiotic therapy (including variety of drugs), which will take into acoount current resistance.
