Genome Information for Listeria monocytogenes
Since its isolation during the Massachusetts listeriosis outbreak in 1983, Scott A has been widely used as a reference strain for efficacy testing of food processing and preservation techniques establishment of detection methods in food samples, growth and heat resistance studies in food products and virulence studies in more than 700 research projects whilst its genome sequence is still unpublished.
