Description

Aphids were maintained in a growth chamber at 18°C with a 16 h day/8 h night photoperiod on their universal host the broad bean, V. faba (cv.Castel), at low density to avoid the emergence of winged individuals. All plants were grown in a growth chamber at 18°C with a 16 h day/8 h night photoperiod. Before installing the aphids for the experiments, V. faba were grown for 10 days.
