Females from inbreeding generation 14 of the Andolfatto lab stock of Drosophila teissieri GT53w were reared to 2-6 day adults in 25C with a 12:12 photoperiod, and were dissected into headless carcass and ovaries. The ovaries from 2 of these dissections were pooled together for RNA extraction. The original D. teissieri GT53w stock was collected by B. Ballard and S. Charlat.
