Description

Greater amberjack is widely distributed in tropical and temperate waters of whole world and important aquaculture fish in Japan. For functional gene identification for biological traits and breeding yellowtail by marker-assisted selection (MAS) or gene-assisted selection (GAS), we carried out whole genome de novo sequencing using Hiseq2500 and PacBio RSII to constructed genome reference sequences of greater amberjack and map parallel re-sequence of greater amberjack on the reference sequence for SNP detection. We gaihered sperms from one healthy three-yera-old male breeded in marine fish pen.
