• Neel J V.: JC virus and its possible role in oncogenesis-The colonel Harlan D. Sanders award address for 1998. AJMG 83:152-156, 1999. [PubMed: 10096589]
An observation by Dr. Neel and his colleagues made several years ago of 23/4,969 cells, called ''Rogue cells'', containing five or more exchange type aberrations was further elucidated. The linkage of these Rogue cells to JC virus and their possible role in oncogenesis is elegantly hypothesized.
