Glioblastoma is the commonest and the most lethal brain tumor. In this book 71 experts from around the globe come together to give a timely, unique and exhaustive compilation of preclinical and clinical knowledge and concepts of glioblastoma under three sections: understanding glioblastoma in the lab; managing glioblastoma in the clinic; and upcoming cutting-edge innovations. In section one, seven chapters provide a comprehensive overview of the molecular genetics, biological hallmarks and current state-of-the-art preclinical animal models in glioblastoma research. In section two, eight chapters deal with the many diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic management challenges physicians are facing every day.
