    The proband was a 17-year-old, with profound impairment in social interaction, minimal speech, and autism. It was shown that the maternally inherited chromosome 4 was the one that had undergone deletion and the marker formation in the proband. The marker chromosome contains about 15-20 cM of DNA from between markers D4S1569 and D4S3010.
