pfam15099: PIRT
Phosphoinositide-interacting protein family
The function of this family, PIRT, is not known, however it is predicted to be a multi-pass membrane protein. This family of proteins is thought to have a role in positively regulating TRPV1 channel activity via phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2). This family of proteins is found in eukaryotes. Proteins in this family are located in the cell membrane. Proteins in this family are approximately 140 amino acids in length.
