selenium metabolism-associated LysR family transcriptional regulator
LysR family transcriptional regulators regularly appear encoded adjacent to selenecysteine incorporation proteins such as SelB. This model represents one especially well-conserved subgroup of such transcription factors from species such as Merdimonas faecis, Sellimonas intestinalis, Syntrophotalea acetylenica, and Hydrogenivirga caldilitoris. Seed alignment members were selected by proximity to selB, but not all family members are expected to have similar genomic locations.
