glycine/sarcosine/betaine reductase complex selenoprotein A Selenoprotein A (GrdA) is the A subunit of a complex whose specificity is determined by a different subunit, B, in a glycine or sarcosine or betaine reductase complex. In some species, only one type of B subunit (also a selenoprotein) occurs. Protein C is usually a heterodimer of two subunits called beta (GrdC) and alpha (GrdD), and is not a selenoprotein.
