Homo sapiens foetal mesenchymal stem cell miRNA transcriptome

(Submitter supplied) We have sequenced miRNA libraries from human embryonic, neural and foetal mesenchymal stem cells. We report that the majority of miRNA genes encode mature isomers that vary in size by one or more bases at the 3’ and/or 5’ end of the miRNA. Northern blotting for individual miRNAs showed that the proportions of isomiRs expressed by a single miRNA gene often differ between cell and tissue types. IsomiRs were readily co-immunoprecipitated with Argonaute proteins in vivo and were active in luciferase assays, indicating that they are functional. more...

An Estrogen Receptor α-bound Human Chromatin Interactome

(Submitter supplied) We developed Chromatin Interaction Analysis by Paired-End Tag sequencing (ChIA-PET) for de novo detection of global chromatin interactions, and comprehensively mapped the chromatin interaction network bound by estrogen receptor α (ERα) in the human genome. High-throughput pyrosequencing of endogenous small RNAs associated to human Argonaute 1 & 2

(Submitter supplied) Small non-coding RNAs function in concert with Argonaute (Ago) proteins to regulate gene expression at the level of transcription, mRNA stability or translation.
