Comparative toxicogenomic effects of three IMX-101 constituents DNAN, NTO and NQ on C. elegans

(Submitter supplied) We used the soil nematode Caenorhabditis elegans, a well-characterized genomics model organism, as the test organism and a species-specific, genome-wide 44K-oligo probe microarray for gene expression analysis. Our goal was to discern toxicological mechanisms for three insensitive munitions formulation IMX-101 constituents 2,4-dinitroanisole (DNAN), nitroguanidine (NQ) and nitrotriazolone (NTO) at the molecular level.

(Submitter supplied) An Agilent C. elegans-specific microarray was custom-designed using Agilent catalog probes. It contained 42862 probes targeting 28164 unique genes, among which 76.6% or 21562 genes had a single probe, 23.4% or 6596 genes had 2 to 12 probes, and the remaining 6 genes had 13, 15, 20, 26, 27 and 37 probes, respectively.
