A role for the nucleoporin Nup170p in chromatin structure and gene silencing

(Submitter supplied) Embedded in the nuclear envelope, nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) not only regulate nuclear transport, but also interface with both transcriptionally active euchromatin and largely silenced heterochromatin, as well as the boundaries between these regions. It is unclear what functional role NPCs play in establishing or maintaining these distinct chromatin domains. Here we report that the yeast NPC protein Nup170p interacts with specific regions of the genome containing ribosomal protein and subtelomeric genes. more...

Agilent-014810 Yeast Whole Genome ChIP-on-Chip Microarray 4x44K (G4493A)

(Submitter supplied) Yeast ChIP-on-Chip Set 4x44K Arrays of this design have barcodes that begin with 16014810 or 2514810. Orientation: Features are numbered numbered Left-to-Right, Top-to-Bottom as scanned by an Agilent scanner (barcode on the left, DNA on the back surface, scanned through the glass), matching the FeatureNum output from Agilent's Feature Extraction software. The ID column represents the Agilent Feature Extraction feature number. more...
