What's a GeneRIF?
  1. Study shows that CART peptides are widely expressed in the brain of birds. It also shows that CART peptide expression is highly conserved among vertebrates, particularly in the subpallium, hypothalamus, periaqueductal area, and solitary tract (see above). In turn, this suggests that some of the behavioral processes mediated by CART peptides are also highly conserved.
