Summary
This region contains multiple sequences that can function as replication origins, including a site that represents a local peak of nascent strand synthesis. This origin may show reduced activity when the HPRT (hypoxanthine phosphoribosyltransferase 1) gene promoter is silenced, such as on the inactive X chromosome.
