This locus represents naturally occurring readthrough transcription between the neighboring PARGP1 (poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase pseudogene 1) and AGAP4 (ArfGAP with GTPase domain, ankyrin repeat and PH domain 4) genes on chromosome 10. The readthrough transcript is a candidate for nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD), and is unlikely to produce a protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2019]
