Summary
Enables IgM binding activity. Involved in humoral immune response mediated by circulating immunoglobulin; immunoglobulin transcytosis in epithelial cells; and regulation of B cell receptor signaling pathway. Acts upstream of or within inhibition of cysteine-type endopeptidase activity involved in apoptotic process; negative regulation of extrinsic apoptotic signaling pathway; and negative regulation of lymphocyte apoptotic process. Located in external side of plasma membrane and trans-Golgi network membrane. Orthologous to human FCMR (Fc mu receptor). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Nov 2024]

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
