    Summary
This gene produces a long non-coding RNA that is cleaved into a mature, functional transcript as well as a small cytoplasmic RNA (mascRNA). The mature transcript is stabilized by a 3' triple helical structure and is retained in the nucleus. This transcript functions in the regulation of gene expression and proliferation and may be upregulated in tumors. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2016]

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
