    A loss of Cnbp disturbs myofibrillar sarcomeric organization at birth. Surviving homozygous Cnbp KO mice develop muscle atrophy at a young age. The skeletal muscle phenotype in heterozygous Cnbp KO mice was milder, but they developed severe muscle wasting at an advanced age.
