    Individuals with heterozygous PLA2G2A rs11573156 CG genotype was found to have significantly reduced risk of prostate cancer (PCa) metastasis compared to the carriers of homozygous CC genotype suggesting an anti-metastatic effect for the G allele.     sPLA2 IIa inhibition attenuates the potent effects of PGE2-induced invasiveness. This is mediated by decreasing pro-inflammatory and invasion-promoting ICAM-1via the STAT-3 pathway.
