    Data report for the first time that the in-frame deletion variant, p.Leu153_Ile154- del, has residual glucose uptake in patients with Fanconi-Bickel syndrome. In contrast, the majority of the five SLC2A2 missense variants associated with metabolic traits have normal glucose uptake and are expressed on the plasma membrane.
