Arabis alpina overview

Lineage: Eukaryota[15558]; Viridiplantae[1758]; Streptophyta[1641]; Embryophyta[1630]; Tracheophyta[1603]; Spermatophyta[1585]; Magnoliopsida[1558]; eudicotyledons[1256]; Gunneridae[1256]; Pentapetalae[1256]; rosids[782]; malvids[313]; Brassicales[101]; Brassicaceae[95]; Arabideae[6]; Arabis[5]; Arabis alpina[1]
Arabis alpina, also called alpine rock-cress, is a diploid plant of Brassicaceae family, closely related to the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. It is an emerging model organism, because of its perennial life cycle. Since it is self-compatible and genetically transformable, mutagenized populations and inbred homozygous lines can be produced.
