The 7th generation miRCURY locked nucleic acid (LNA) oligonucleotide microarray is manufactured by Exiqon (Vedbaek, Denmark). The array has probes printed in quadruplicate as 100 um-diameter spots with 185 um inter-spot distance. Many spots on the array do not have a probe ('empty') and there are some spots that only have the Hy3 fluorescent dye ('Hy3'). Some probes on the array target multiple mature microRNAs. Some probes are species-specific; others are not. Some probes are specific for certain synthetic small RNAs used as control spike-ins in the array-use protocol provided by the array manufacturer. Some probes target non-microRNA RNAs like small nucleolar RNAs. IDs and names of probes on the array, and the miRBase (version 19.0) or proprietary Exiqon miRPlus accession numbers of mature microRNAs targeted by the probes, are provided in the data table for this Platform. The platform information here is based on the .gal array layout file for array batch numbers 208500-2 & 208510 and lot number 35006.

Data table header descriptions
ID
Name
Name of probe typically indicating the RNA sequences targeted by it
miRNA_ID_LIST
Identity of the mature microRNA targeted by a probe; if a probe targets multiple mature microRNAs, then the IDs are separated by commas miRBase
Database
Database and version whose record IDs are used for the miRNA_ID_LIST value
SPOT_ID
Identifier to designate a control probe or an empty feature
