Title |
1,25(OH)D3 effect on colonic organoids from wt and VDR KO mice |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
VitaminD deficiency has been related to a higher incidence of colorectal cancer. In order to further study the effect of VDR and its ligand as genome modulators we established stem cell enriched cultures of wt and VDR KO mice, treated with the active metabolite of Vitamin D and analyzed the changes in total RNA expression.

Overall design |
Organoid 3D stem cell enriched culture was established from colon crypts from 3 wt mice and 3 VDR KO mice. The cultures were treated for 72 houres with either vehicle (EtOH) or VDR ligand 1,25(OH)2D3, the active form of VitaminD. Gene expression was analyzed with an Agilent microarray design ID 028005, P/N G4852A.
