Title |
Gene Expression Changes from E-Cigarette Exposure During Early Pregnancy |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Electronic nicotine delivery system (E-Cigarette) use is prevalent among pregnant women. We examined whether E-Cigarette exposure impairs implantation. RNA microarray was performed on day 4.5 pseudopregnant mice exposed to E-Cigarettes or sham during each day of pregnancy.

Overall design |
C57BL/6J dams primed with E-Cigarette or sham were mated to vasectomized males. The presence of a copulatory plug was recorded as day 0.5 and pseudopregnant mice were exposed to E-Cigarette or sham for each day of pregnancy until euthanasia on the morning of day 4.5. Each sample represents one mouse with 4 samples exposed to sham versus 4 samples exposed to E-Cigarettes.
