Title |
Elucidating photorespiration pathways in a chemolithoautotroph |
Organism |
Cupriavidus necator |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We investigate photorespiration pathways in the chemoautotroph Cupriavidus necator H16 when growing autotropically on hydrogen and carbon dioxide via the Calvin Cycle. We demonstrate an upregulation of the glycerate pathway under photorespiration (ambient carbon dioxide) conditions

|
|
Overall design |
Transcriptomes are compared for growth under photorespiration conditions (H2, ambient CO2) versus growth at H2 and 10% CO2, as versus heterotrophic growth on pyruvate, biological triplicates are used (9 samples total)
