Title Profiling the lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA interaction network in diabetes submandibular gland
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Non-coding RNA profiling by array
Summary Dysfunction of salivary glands is one of the common symptoms of diabetes. Although the long non-coding RNA has recently been identified to play a role in the pathogenesis of diabetes, it is still unclear about the role of lncRNA in diabetes salivary glands. This work was aimed to explore the lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA expression profiles and functional network in diabetes submandibular gland

Overall design LncRNA and mRNA expressional profiles were analyzed by microarray technology from the SMG of db/db mice and db/m mice (n=4). Differentially expressed (DE) lncRNAs were confirmed by qRT-PCR. We constructed a CNC and ceRNA network to reveal the core genes in hyposalivation. Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis were performed to explicit the biological functions.
