Title Isoformic PD-1 is tumorigenic in hepatocellular carcinoma through seemingly exhausted αβ T cells
Organisms Homo sapiens; synthetic construct
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Purpose: To investigate functional differences between Δ42PD-1+ and PD-1+ T cells in HCC patients
Methods: Δ42PD-1+, PD-1+ T and Δ42PD-1-PD-1- T cells were isolated by cell sorting from HCC patient’s PBMCs and performed the BD Rhapsody single-cell RNA sequencing with focus on 259 T cell-relevant transcripts
Results: Data were obtained from 3 separate T cell subsets, including 3,758 PD-1+, 3,242 Δ42PD-1+ and 4,626 Δ42PD-1-PD-1- T cells, respectively.

Overall design Comparison of T cell-relevant transcripts between Δ42PD-1+, PD-1+ T and Δ42PD-1-PD-1- T cell subsets
