Title Expression data from A549 cell line infected with influenza A virus (IAV) and treated with/without Itaconate
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary Analysis of gene expression in A549 cells infected with influenza A virus or Mock and treated with Itaconic acid (IA), or Dimethyl itaconate (DI) to investigate the effects itaconate have on transcriptional response in A549 cells.
We particularly looked at anti-inflammatory effects of itaconate in inflammation followed by Influenza A virus infection.

Overall design A549 cells were infected with influenza A viruses, or non-infected (Mock) for 24 hours. Infected A549 cells were pre-treated to itaconic acid, or dimethyl itaconate for 24 hours and then an additional 24 hours treatment along with IAV infection. RNA was extracted, and subjected to transcriptome profiling array Clariomâ„¢ S Assay, human.
