Title Biochronicity Challenge Study Gene Expression Data

Summary A longitudinal human rhinovirus (HRV) challenge study with 19 volunteers was performed at University of Virginia in Sept 2015. The study collected peripheral blood samples 3 times/day over a 8 day time period, where an incoculation with live virus (RV39) was administered on the 4th day (Day 0). The obective was to quantify changes in gene expression induced by the viral challenge.
Overall design RNAseq gene expression profiling in whole blood, covering both pre-inoculation (baseline) and post-inoculation time periods. 24 volunteers were recruited into the study, labeled from 01 to 24, of which 18 sucessfully completed the study. Samples were collected from each volunteer in the morning around 8am (AM), in the afternoon around 4pm (PM1) and in the evening around 12pm (PM2).
