Title Effects of RYGB on liver health in obese mice.
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary We investigated the effects of RYGB compared to a sham surgery or caloric restriction on hepatic function. For that, the goals of this study is to identify changes in the liver transcriptome profiling (RNA-seq) that could explain improvements in liver health and function with RYGB compared to other treatment methods.

Overall design Mice underwent RYGB bariatric surgery, sham surgery, or were weight-matched to the RYGB group via calorie restriction. Mice were euthanized 20 weeks post-surgery and liver tissue was collected.
