Status Public on Sep 24, 2016
Title Escherichia coli: untreated versus 5-azacytidine-treated expression profiles
Platform organisms Escherichia coli O157:H7 str. EDL933; Escherichia coli CFT073; Escherichia coli O157:H7 str. Sakai; Escherichia coli str. K-12 substr. MG1655
Sample organism Escherichia coli
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary DNA microarray experiments were used to compare gene expression profiles of untreated and 5-azacytidine treated Escherichia coli at both logarithmic phase and early stationary phase
The goal was to determine the effect of cytosine DNA methylation loss on gene expression (5-azacytidine is a methylation inhibitor)

Overall design Untreated versus 5-azacytidine-treated cells at logarithmic phase and early stationary phase; 5 biological replicates both all experiments
