Libraries made according to Molnar A et al., 2007 Nature 447, 1126-29. Briefly, Briefly, small RNAs were excised from a 15% 7M Urea PAGE and extracted with 0.3 M NaCl. RNAs were ligated to 5’ and 3’ adapters for PCR amplification using 454-forward (5'-GCC TCC CTC GCG CCA TCA GCA GCC ATG GGA ATT CCT CAC TAA-3') and 454-reverse (5'-GCC TTG CCA GCC CGC TCA GAC AGT CCA TGG ATT G-3') primers. PCR products were separated on a 10% native PAGE and the amplified ligation products were excised and sequenced with 454 technology (454 sequencing platform)

Description MicroRNA sequencing results
Data processing After trimming adaptor sequences a total of 253, 791 unfiltered reads were obtained and of these 25,724 were selected thatt were between 15 and 28 nucleotides in length. These were copared to annotated mature miRNAs (miRBase v13.0 leading to the identification of 162 mature miRNAs. The number of reads for each miRNA and related isomiRs are recorcded in the file hMSC
