Raw signal intensities were initially screened by using the MaxD/View-Program to remove false positive and false negative signals (using a cut off of at least one P value for each transcript <0.2). The data were then normalized by using the global geometric mean (GGM) normalization option within the MaxD/View-Program Pairwise comparisons of the GGM data were then performed by SAM analysis (Statistical Analysis of Microarray)
