Treatment protocol Embryos were identified under Epi fluorescent microscope, timed from telophase of the previous cycle to 15min and 40min later respectively, hand-selected and frozen by dry-ice cold heptane. Triplicates of about 50 embryos each with right age were collected for each time point.
Growth protocol Both diploid and haploid flies were raised at 25C to lay embryos on apple juice agar plate for 2-3hours.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Trizol extraction of total RNA was performed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Label biotin
Label protocol Biotinylated cRNA were prepared according to the standard Affymetrix protocol.
 
Hybridization protocol Following fragmentation, 10 ug of cRNA were hybridized for 16 hr at 45C on GeneChip Drosophila Genome Array. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix GeneChip Fluidics Station 400.
Scan protocol Gene chips were scaned using Affymetrix GeneChip Scanner 3000.
Description Expression data from precisely staged blastula haploid Drosophila embryos.
Biological replicate 3 of 3.
Data processing The data were analyzed with Microarray Suite using Affymetrix default analysis settings and global scaling as normalization method.
