Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was extracted from murine cardiac tissue using the Direct-zol RNA Miniprep kit (Zymo Research, R2051). RNA-seq libraries were generated with an mRNA enrichment protocol (KAPA mRNA HyperPrep, 08098115702). All RNA-seq libraries were sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq.

Data processing |
Sequenced reads were aligned to the mouse genome (mm10) using STAR (2.7.9a) (PMID: 23104886). Differential expression analysis was performed with DESeq2 (1.30.1) (PMID: 25516281). Pathway enrichment analysis was carried out with Metascape (PMID: 30944313). Assembly: mm10 Supplementary files format and content: Gene counts table constructed of raw output from STAR.
