siRNAs were transfected using Oligofectamine and OPTIMEM (Invitrogen) according to suppliers protocol. 2x10^5 cells at 40-50% confluency were transfected with 200 pmol siRNA and collected 72h later.

Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was isolated from HeLa cells employing the RNeasy Kit (Qiagen) with additional RNase-free DNase (Qiagen) on column digestion. The quality and quantity of the RNA was determined using the Agilent RNA 6000 NanoLabChip kit and Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer.
